Rhydian Red
I've discovered
a wondrous colour I call it 'Rhydian red' - The colour of your passionate heart (And the true hair on your head!)
The
colour of your birthday rose And your sexiest of suits, Our National team's rugby shirts (We'll forget the Golden
Boots!)
It's the colour of the Dragon proud Upon our National Flag, And of your burning conviction (Not to
mention my favourite bag!)
And the colour of the faces Of certain Xfactor staff When they accepted the glory
of your Voice (And you, cariad, had the last laugh).

FATE
Your enchanting eyes, Your
heartfelt smile, That spine-tingling voice, That makes us rejoice, Will always be treasured, Every night and every
day.
In the end it seems, That fate intervened, To give you more hope, more power, more glory, And
give us the chance, To see you dance, On the highest most cloud, And make us proud.
For your return we wait, I
hope you're not late, To shower us with your presence, And shine like the heavens, On top of the world and 'Number
One', Never to fall and always such fun.

Bolton
Some many nights
ago far far away brought the voice of an angel a beautiful sun ray
A month nearly passed from that perfect
night that happiness in our hearts when he came into sight
for his voice brought calm and his prescence brought
peace which still echos with us now this shall never bring to cease
And one day again shall we meet this soul which
lights up our world even the darkest hole

Rhydian! Rhydian!! Rhydian!!!
Three syllables I've come to know Said
three times and I start to glow Rhydian, Rhydian, Rhydian! Your name has come to epitomise All that's lovely, perfect
and wise No man is perfect I often hear But you to me come oh so near To perfection plus, plus and plus!
If
the rose were known by another name The Bard has said t'would smell the same Rhydian, Rhydian, Rhydian! In essence
of Enoch's meridian A man who walked before the Lord In the Book he had a clean record So walk on hand in hand with
God Walk with Him as straight as a rod!

Cymru's Hideaway (with apologies to Rhydnut)
I have a small allotment, It's full of blooming
flowers, I weed it and I water it And work in it for hours.
It's not your average garden, More like a little
park, It's warm even in winter And glows when it gets dark.
Two dozen red hot pokers Are showing strong and
tall; A lovely pyrocantha Grows up against the wall.
Snapdragons edge the border And over by the shed A
smoke bush hides the compost Used on the flower bed.
An orange flame nasturtium Climbs around the gate And
fireflies light up the sky When it is getting late.
They make the path a runway For my little scaly friend When
she pays a visit At her journey's end.
She's become quite famous Since she met a little boy Who turned into
a world-class star In Simon Cowell's employ,
But she likes the peace and quiet She finds in my small patch, And
this is where she'll settle When she has some eggs to hatch.
She snuggles near my bonfire, Enjoys a well-earned
rest, And nobody would dream I Cultivate a dragon's nest...

Spread the Love
The cat is outside on the prowl, The birds don't have a chance! Though on his collar
are three bells, He leads them all a dance.
The snails are busy munching, it's Destruction I forgive, For
even though they kill my plants Those gastropods must live.
And in between the blades of grass A daisy shows
its face; It's welcome, for a weed is just A flower in the wrong place.
The magpies raid the blackbird's nest In
ivy on the wall. They don't all live in harmony, But there is room for all.
And though we are all different, We
can share common ground Here in God's glorious garden, where His love spreads all around.

To MY Angel of Music
If
I could say why I love you What would it be? Would it be you standing there so still and strong Whilst all around
try to bring you down?
Yes, that is why I love you Can't you see You have awoken my soul From a long,
long sleep.
If I could say why I love you What would it be? The look in your eyes especially for me, Caressing
so gently when I feel low?
Yes, that is why I love you Can't you see You have awoken my soul From a long,
long sleep.
If I could say why I love you What would it be? Would it be the smile that lights up your face in
so many many different ways?
Yes, that is why I love you Can't you see You have awoken my soul From a long,
long sleep.
Would it be your voice when speaking to me? Softly stirring my emotions and calming my fears. Would
it be your voice when singing quietly to me reaching my heart? Would it be your voice When soaring to the heavens taking
me there too?
Oh yes, Oh yes THAT is why I love you sooo.... Can't Oh can't you see That you have awoken my
soul After a long long sleep That you have awoken my soul After a long long sleep

(Written as a Song for Rhydian to be put to music)

With sincere apologies to Jenny Joseph
When I am old I will become a Roadie
When
I am an old woman I shall become A recycled Roadie on the run With Bus Pass and pension Spending my winter fuel
allowance On thermal underwear and socks Forgetting to charge my electric key. I shall sit down on the pavement when
I'm tired Of standing up in the queue For tickets to see my Rhyd I will push to the front of the line Pleading
old age and arthritis or possibly insanity Saying I need front row seats because of my hearing aids I will wear
baggy T shirts With the Riddlers face smiling at me I will buy all his CD's and singles Downloading to my MP3 I
will forget to pay at Sainsbury's Walking straight past the tills Singing Get the party started Completley out of
tune. When my children try to put me In a secure care home "Just for my own good" I will set off on my mobility
scooter I will Go West To follow my star As I become a Roadie When I am old

Too Old! (a sequel to Rhydnut's Too Young?)...
Remember, too, the old ones, Who stay up late at night Dreaming
of your serenade To them, by candlelight...
Who get dressed up for Bolton And hope they'll look their best, Although
they'll be outdone by The fashions of the rest;
Forget the cost of fuel, High price of everything, And spend
their old age pension On a chance to hear you sing.
Who stand out in wet weather, Make their rheumatism worse, Just
to hear your lovely voice And marvel at each verse.
Who get back home to no one, Wipe shoes upon the mat, Then
slip into their slippers Before they feed the cat.
Who go to bed exhausted But happier than Larry Because they've
had a chance to See the man they'd like to marry
If they could put the clock back, Turn silver hair to gold, But
it's all just a pipedream - They can't, 'cos they're too old!

A Prayer for my Computer!
(Posted on RR site by Fay which I found highly
amusing)
Every evening as I'm lying here
in bed, This tiny little prayer keeps running through my head.
God, bless my lovely husband And bless my
little pup And look out for my dear son When things aren't looking up.
And God, there's one more thing I wish
that you could do Hope you don't mind my asking But please bless my computer too.
Now, I know that's not normal To
bless a motherboard But just listen for a second While I explain to you, my Lord.
You see, that little metal
box Holds more than odds and ends. Inside those small compartments Are a hundred of my 'friends'.
I know for
sure they like me By the kindness that they give And this little scrap of metal Is how I travel to where they live.
By
faith is how I know them much the same as you I share in what life brings them From that our friendship grew.
Please
take an extra minute From your duties up above To bless this scrap of metal That's filled with so much love!
